Children's Ministries
Welcome to the Children’s ministries of Soaring Oaks Presbyterian Church! Out department ministers to the needs of our children from infancy through sixth grade. Our purpose is to provide an atmosphere where children feel accepted, loved, and appreciated as part of the church community. We strive to provide programs that assist parents in laying a solid spiritual foundation for their children. Our goal is to provide doctrinally sound programs that are intellectually and spiritually stimulating, where children learn to love God, enjoy Bible study, and learn to listen to a sermon. We emphasize applying what is learned in daily life.Our department offers many programs. We currently offer: Nursery care, Sunday school and Children’s church on Sunday mornings, Children’s choir Tuesday evenings, Pioneer clubs on Wednesday evenings, Vacation Bible school in July, Advent club in December, Easter Vacation Bible School prior to Easter, and various other programs such as teacher training and parent education workshops. In order to protect our community and our children it is the policy of this church that all individuals who work with children will be fingerprinted and have a routine background check performed. We regret that this is needed in this day and age, but we believe it necessary to protect children and honor their parent’s trust in us.
